“Empower Network Announcements” written by Mike Marko.
I love it when a company admits its own mistakes. Empower Network founder, Dave Wood, has admitted to a few mistakes he and his company have made (which he publicly admitted). This blog post goes into details about how they will correct these mistakes and leave the competition in the dust.
The Empower Network Blogging System
Let’s start with the blogging system.
Empower Network and the ENV2 (Viral Blogging System)
When Empower Network came out with their new viral blogging system (ENV2) a year ago, they had all the hype in the world (though the video series they had was pretty lame)… the new blogging system they launched… well… sucked.
Empower Network was founded on blogging. Most of the company’s (when you include affiliates) income comes from blogging.
I came on board with Empower Network back when they were still WordPress based. It seemed a bit complicated at first (I had never blogged before), but I quickly started getting the hang of it. I enjoyed the functionality.
But the following October they switched to the new blogging system… and it was filled with glitches, and was far from perfect.
Although the setup was easy, and there was little to worry about with regards to customization, but the ENV2 fell flat.
But that is about to change.
Empower Network and the New Blogging System
Although details are still coming out, from everything I have heard the new blogging system is going to be far superior to even the original version.
Empower Network is going back to their roots with the new blog. It is WordPress based. But that is where the similarity ends. They are going up with several themes that will make customization easy. There will be a professional looking blog, a video blog, a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) optimized blog, and a few others.
This weekend they are revealing the platform at the Empower Network event. And then launching it in a week to the general public.
The Empower Network Products
The changes are not stopping at the blogging system.
Empower Network will also be renovating their products. They recognized that many of their products are out of date, many having been created over three years ago.
They have added several new products over the past year, and this has watered down their core products.
Going forward, Empower Network will also be focusing on their core five products only: Blog, Inner Circle, Costa Rica*, 15k Formula*, and the Masters Course*. They found they were most successful when they had a great blogging platform, and kept to a few core products.
Inner Circle – They will be adding to the content and slowly tweaking it over time.
Costa Rica – Being replaced with Team Building Formula.
15k Formula – Being replaced with the Top Producer Formula.
Master Course – Being replaced with a new product not yet released.
I for one am glad they are renovating the products. They are in need of an overhaul.
I can’t wait to see what the Masters Course replacement will be like.
The old products will still be available to those who purchased them (which is great because there are some techniques like writing copy that will not change and different approaches is great), but nobody will be able to buy them anymore soon.
My Thoughts on the “New” Empower Network
I love the new changes coming for Empower Network. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new blogging system… it will fit perfectly into the blog network that we have been building. Plus the blog will be a much easier sell to new people.
And the new courses will really set Empower Network apart from the competition.
When you combine this with IPAS2, you have the perfect storm of an amazing system that just launched AND a new, better Empower Network.
This is an exciting time.
