Effectively Optimize Websites Through On Site SEO - SEO, Websites, Laptop

Do you want to learn how to successfully optimize your website through on site SEO?

This is a kind of SEO strategy that zooms in on the elements of the website. On site SEO is commonly used by business people as a way for them to get higher ranks in the search engine results pages.

On site SEO can sound complicated for beginners because lots of terms in it can make it sound scary, especially for those who have little to no experience when it comes to optimization.

I myself was also very intimidated with on site SEO at first. However, as time passed, I was able to get the hang of it and changed my perception concerning on site SEO.

Over time, I realized that on site SEO is easier than off site SEO.

I will show you why I have realized this. In this blog post, I’ll give you the basics on how you can optimize a website using on site SEO.

On Site SEO for Beginners

Though it can seem quite scary, as I have stated, on site SEO isn’t that complicated.

There are many website owners nowadays who use a portion of on site SEO to optimize their websites.

The more thorough parts are done by the professionals. However, there are parts that even beginners can do.

Search Engine Optimization: Explained

You may have heard this a time or two. Search Engine Optimization is a strategy used to help improve website traffic. This is accomplished by increasing the website’s search engine results rank.

Search engines that primarily have results that rank web pages are Google, Bing, and Yahoo. They are the most commonly used search engines so you just have to make sure that your site ranks first or on the first page of their search results.

The ranks are based on the most relevant topics that these search engines consider to be closest to what the user looks for.

For instance, if a user looks for “Tumblr”, consequently, the first page of the site will be on top of the search engine results.

The most important factor of SEO is relevance. Meaning, doing SEO for a website that sells clothes won’t be very relevant to other search results like curtains, for instance.

The search engine will only consider those results that are relevant to what the user is currently searching for.

If you are working to get a higher rank for that website, you optimize your website for that purpose so it can be relevant for the search engine user who might be a potential client.

So in the above example, you’d optimize your website so that search engines think it especially relevant to someone who’s looking to buy some clothing.

Anyway, there are many strategies used for SEO and on-site SEO is one of them.

On Site SEO: Discussed

By definition, on site SEO is the method of optimizing elements that are present on your website to improve its search engine ranking.

Meaning, you will have to optimize both the content and the HTML source code of the website.

The main goal of on site SEO is to make it easier for users and search engines to do 3 main things namely:

  •      Knowing what a website is all about.
  •      Identifying keywords that can be used for queries.
  •      Understanding the usefulness of the page for any relevant searches.

Of course, there are lots of ways to do this. However, the first thing you ought to know if you are a beginner to on site SEO is using keywords.

Keywords

Keywords are vital in on site SEO. They help search engines and users know the nature of your website or the search content.

They are a word or set of words that will define your content and are commonly used by users and by website owners.

Going back to the example I stated concerning websites that sell clothes, for example, their possible keywords can be “women’s skirts for sale” or “ladies’ skirts on sale”.

Let’s narrow this discussion down to how you’re going to use keywords when doing on site SEO? Actually, there are many ways for this to be done.

However, the most basic method would be to use them in your content. You can put them in the titles of blog posts, page titles, hashtags, and so on.

You should not overuse keywords, however. This might lead to negative feedback from your visitors, who will likely notice the awkwardness of keywords you’ve inserted into areas just for the sake of having them.

Other Elements to Get More Results

Not everything about your on site SEO is affected by keywords.

You need to think about a lot of other elements like:

  •      Readability of your website’s content
  •      Links that are used on pages,
  •      Page load speed,
  •      The URL structure of your webpage,,
  •      Mobile friendliness, and
  •      HTTPs stratus.

These factors are called keyword agnostic elements. They are on site SEO elements that don’t really depend on keywords or their relevance.

Taking page load speed as an example, the speed of loading your page isn’t affected by keywords but it still has an impact on your on site SEO.

Factors you should Consider for On Site SEO

Want to get the best results for your on site SEO strategy? Well, you will need to start with considering the factors that are beneficial for your on site SEO process.

Just start with these two major on site SEO factors to take.

  •      Excellent content, and
  •      Perfect user experience.

Making Excellent Content

If you want to have positive results for your on site SEO, you will need to make sure that you are producing excellent content.

You will have to start by knowing why people should visit or would visit your website. You should also consider how you will be able to retain those customers.

After figuring these out, you will need to apply those insights to your content. You have to keep in mind that you need to produce content by thinking like your audience.

This will make your website more accommodating to readers and users.

You have to write content with the thought of what your audience might most likely search for. Make it common topics or trending topics of today that are relevant to your website’s purpose.

Lastly, make sure that the content you publish has the right keywords in it. They should be easy to read too, and be informative as well.

Providing Flawless User Experience

Next up is user experience. You need to make sure that your website visitors should be able to use your website effectively and easily.

Make your website user friendly. This makes your on site SEO successful.

Make sure that it has clear text, and straightforward navigation titles.

Furthermore, you need to make sure that there’s important information and details about your website that are posted where visitors can easily see them (like descriptions and contact details, for example).

Lastly, you have to keep in mind that the user’s comfort comes first. An aesthetically advanced and user-friendly website can easily attract and keep visitors and clients.

That can be the measure of the success of your on site SEO strategy.
